This is a sequential, outcomes based program based around the following strands and lenses:

The curriculum draws from Scripture and the Catholic tradition of the Universal Church. It fosters an understanding of young people as they grow and mature in contemporary society. The content includes a strong social justice focus.

Sacraments

St Joseph’s is part of St Joseph’s Parish and as such the children undertake sacramental preparation as part of the Parish based, family centred and school supported program. Children in Grade 3 receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Grade 4, Eucharist and Confirmation is celebrated in Grade 6.

Mass

Mass is celebrated as a whole school mass once a month on a Wednesday at 10.15am.  Each level plans this celebration. Whole school mass is also celebrated on special occasions, such as the beginning and end of the school year and special feast days.
